My friend was climbing a tree. She was also being teased by these two guys who used to be in her class, about this guy who likes her. They said,

But anyway, the thing about objectifying women.
Objectifying women violates the 'feminity standard', and women insist that they do not want to be treated as objects. It was the entire purpose of the feminist movement.
And they talked to the girls today at the assembly about wearing short shorts, insisting that we are intelligent, capable young women. We must think about the message we're sending out by wearing short shorts.
Which really I guess meant 'don't display your sexuality or get marginalized by it.'
Which is true of course. Short shorts only reinforce the message that women have (reproductive) value only in their looks, making babies and sandwiches...can't be taken seriously, you know how it is.
So like, why do girls wear short shorts? They look good, they want others to notice...well the reasons are obvious. But displaying their sexuality comes from the recognition that naked women have power.
And then there's porn, which objectifies women. Women don't hate it when their guy watches porn because it's like cheating, but because they're jealous of pornstars' bodies and suddenly it's not about objectifying women; it's about making themselves pretty enough and making their sexuality blatant enough to get noticed by their guy.
Hence the short shorts.
People want to be loved and valued right? You have to get that love and value in some form, if you know what I mean. As they say, men pretend to love to get sex, women pretend to enjoy sex to get love.
It's gone to the point where you're not a legit girl if you don't wear tight clothing or whatever, thus creating a whole new race. The [b*tches, PURELY in the sense of when guys say I get all the b*tches, not b*tches as an offensive term], and the politically correct 'females'. It's segregation based off things like whether or not you wear short shorts.
And while it may be the aesthetically superior race that gives women the stereotype they have, a job as an escort is very lucrative. 'You can earn a lot of money that way.'
